Are Dis Records really Battles?

Stacks Image 480
I remember when I heard some of the first Dis Records. I always thought, whaaa, I cant wait for the BATTLE! haha that was the reality in the early 80's. That a Dis record was not the actual battle, but the start of the beef, the prelude to a REAL face to face confrontation, at a Jam, on stage! This is what a Real Bronx cat who grew up on 4 decades of Hip Hop feels. These Dis Records ARE NOT BATTLES! We need to stop calling them that, and force these spoiled rappers to actually face off, or cut the bull sh*t! They not live like the rest of the Raw HIP HOP Community, that puts it on the line in every cipher! So how come they get a Pass? And we as Hip Hop Fans, let them slide? WHY? We support this. The minute we stop buying the music, and force these cats to back up the subliminal with a throw down in front of actual non bias (or bias as f&ck) People that wanna see Blood!
I also want to remind everyone, These are NOT ACAPELA RAP BATTLES! So they would have to rhyme over beats, throw disses, but show rhythm, and cadence over the groove, as well as control the crowd. MC Battles, have to hold to the culture, and keep them BREAK BEATS GOING! Original MC Battles, had show stopper performances as part of the battle as well. Lyricism, was just one aspect of an MC battle. So the pressure to deliver the illest Lyrics started when KOOL MOE DEE tacked BUSY B and made history. But truth be told, up until that point, BUSY B WAS WINNING EVERYTHING! With Crowd Control, and Party Rocking. Allot to be learned by young rap fans.
That being said, would like to see more rappers to up to the plate, and do call outs in front of crowds, and spare us the whole dis record from the jump. ITS F&CKIN CORNY TO A REAL BLOOD SWEAT & TEARS BATTLER LIKE MYSELF, i had my first battle in a cipher in the late 70's. AND I GOT SMOKED! trust, I was humiliated, But after watching a few comebacks in Kung Fu Flix! I started smoking everybody every sucks that moved! Start Holding These commercial rappers Accountable!

attack on US embassy in Baghdad

mr wiggles graffiti in kuwait embassy
Sad times we live in. But reminds me of my time in Kuwait in the mid 80's. Before the Invasion by Saddam. We (magnificent force crew) had a Hip Hop Tour in the Middle East. That lead to me doing a Graffiti Piece on the US Embassy in Kuwait. They built a new Embassy, after the first one was bombed. So they asked me to rock the million dollar Bomb Proof wall. And I decided to rock a USA Graffiti Piece in Honor of our County. Say what you want about the US. Even with the Puerto Rican Struggle, and how my people still suffer in poverty, and racism. With all the problems we have, I still love my country. I am Steffan "mr wiggles" clemente, from the Bronx, NY, USA. The Middle East Tour went to Tunisia, Algiers, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Morocco. I had Boxes of Krylon Spray Paint, to rock pieces all over the tour. Once we go in the compound, they walked me over to the Million dollar wall, and showed me the spot, and like a real Bronx Writer, I didn't hesitate! I was in and Out like the Raid was coming! I was on the run! hahaha, the results was a fresh BX style letter form piece with a flag and all. Bless up
