Lord Jamar vs Eminem

changed with BBOYS, WRITERS (GRAFFITI) and DJ'S. So why are these famous rap recording artists getting a PASS? I don't even have to get into the political side of this debate, NO NEED! Bro….. prove your point! CALL HIM OUT! Show him how to make a GHETTO BANGER "TODAY"! If he cant do it, then prove your point. Make a HOOD SONG that bangs today! SHOW BY EXAMPLE.
Now as a father of 3 Puerto Rican Boys, and always having a house full of young Black and Latino Kids during the Eminem Era. I can surely tell you all the BLACK and LATINO Ghetto Kids chillin in my house, WERE BANGING EM SONGS DAILY! And still recognize his contributions to LYRICISM.
I can also attest to the fact. That in the late 70's, and early 80's, the BEST MC's were so focused on RHYMES! They could not make a HIT SONG to save they life!
GOD BLESS FURIOUS who were able to do it. Treacherous 3, Moe D, and others, But i don't hear no one in the hood playing "GO SEE THE DOCTOR" And MOE D is one of the greatest of all time. The difference is, HE ACTUALLY BATTLED! IMHO: Em could not even touch the skill level of a MOE D during the Moe D era. MOE was already on the EM style word play back then. That is how advanced MOE D was in his time.
Now G BLESS JAY ZEE who is able to find that delicate balance of Street Cred, and commercialism. For the most part. the BEST MC's were just not great recording artists. Just look at the RAP Battle circuit. most of those cats are so real with the skills, they can't find the balance to make a HIT. it just does not suit them to do a club banger. These are modern day warriors, looking to test skills against the best, not sit in a studio and work on hooks….. smprh =/
In Conclusion, If I mention Brand Nubian to any of these young kids today……….. =/ you get my point
bless up, stay busy on the mic, and lazy on the youtube channels…
